Wild Grace captures a moment of movement, freedom, and quiet power—a striking paint horse caught mid-stride, its mane and tail streaming behind as it moves through an imagined field of blue.

The horse’s bold chestnut and white markings are set against a cool, textured blue ground, creating a dramatic contrast between warm and cool colour. Loose, expressive brushwork gives the horse a sense of motion, while the decorative patterns and marks in the background add a touch of whimsy and contemporary flair.

I was especially drawn to the gracefulness of the horse’s movement—the lifted legs, flowing mane and lowered head all suggesting a spirit that is both powerful and completely free. The contrast between the strength of the horse and the delicacy of its movement is what inspired the title Wild Grace.

This is a painting about freedom, movement and the untamed beauty of the horse.
