ABOUT THE ARTIST

     Adeline Halvorson is best known for her accurate depiction of equine subjects and the use of light that typifies her work.  With sensitivity and a keen eye for anatomy, she captures the essence and personality of the animals that touch our lives -- the everyday workers, the faithful companions.

2013 - chosen to design and paint "Pulling Together", the painting used for the 2014 Calgary Stampede Poster.  The original painting sold at auction for $125,000.00

1998 Designed the Silver Dollar for the Royal Canadian Mint, commemorating the 125th anniversary of the founding of the North West Mounted Police.

1984 Chosen to design and paint the Official Canadian Olympic Equestrian Poster for Los Angeles '84
